Smart 911 is a FREE and secure service provided by Lake County 911 to enhance our ability to respond to emergencies. Lake County residents should go to www.smart911.com (or download the app) and create a safety profile. The safety profile contains as much, or as little, information as the resident wants to provide to help our professional dispatchers send help. The information is kept strictly private and only used if you call 9-1-1. Help us help you!
Text-to-911 is available in Lake county and throughout Indiana.
